If you’re like most swimmers and triathletes today you're experiencing one of all or all of these things:
That Means Your Bucket Has Holes:
Here's what I mean:
Think of your swim performance like water in a bucket.
You’re pouring in more effort, more strength, more volume...
But it doesn’t matter, because the bucket is leaking.
90% of swimmers today are leaking speed through:
- Poor body position
- Bad timing
- Lack of control when the pace spikes
- Power going in the wrong direction
So instead of speed building on itself, it vanishes.
Let's take two swimmers with the same work ethic...
Would you belive me if I tell you that they get totally different results, almost opposite?
So the question because:
"How can I make sure I'm not wasting my time in the gym and in the pool and have certainty that I'm progressing?"
Luckily, the answer to that questions is something anyone can discover.
And yes, you can achive an effortless stroke and actually enjoy swimming, or win that race...
Even if you don’t feel “naturally fast.”
Or think you don’t have the right genetics.
Let's start with this simple statement:
Speed doesn’t just come from more work.
It comes from better movement.
Because no matter how fast you can swim, if there's a wall in front of you, you won't get far.
The reason your training hasn’t clicked is because your body hasn’t learned how to hold efficiency when effort increases.
You see,
I've seen all kinds of swimmers:
Fast, slow, tall, short, old, young, strong, weak.
You name it.
And let me tell you...
I've seen swimmers with 10, 15, even 20 years of experience get outpaced by someone with just two or three years in the water… who simply followed the right system.
Facts.
It's not because they're less dedicated.
It's because their body already learned those old patterns, and unfortunately, they don’t translate to fast swimming.
Meanwhile, a swimmer who's been training for two years with the right system…
His nervous system is still learning, adapting, and still building speed following the right patterns.
They haven't locked in an inefficient pattern yet.
So they're faster. And it's not even close.
The crazy part is that you can't out-grind this problem.
You can't add more volume and fix it.
You have to change the pattern.
It’s not out of your control.
Movement quality is trainable, just like strength, just like endurance.
You just need the right system that shows your body how to move efficiently again… and you’d be shocked at how fast things start to change.
That’s where most swimmers get it wrong, because they’ve been taught to treat every problem with the same solution:
Swim more, grind harder, push through.
But what if the problem isn’t volume?
Because when things start to fall apart in the water, it’s not your strength giving out. It’s your nervous system.
It’s the way your body organizes movement under pressure.
And if that system isn’t trained to hold up when effort spikes, no amount of laps will fix it.
In fact, every extra meter just reinforces the wrong pattern.
This is what I call an efficiency leak, and it’s the real reason most swimmers plateau.
They’ve poured in years of effort, but their body is still wired to move in ways that burn energy instead of transferring it.
And when you zoom out, it makes sense: the fastest swimmers aren’t always the strongest.
They’re the ones who can maintain form, rhythm, and connection when it counts.
That’s the turning point.
Because once you understand that movement quality is trainable, you stop chasing speed the hard way.
You stop trying to force success with volume.
And you start building it from the ground up, through smarter training that targets how your body moves, adapts, and holds itself together under stress.

A Proven Dryland System for Swimmers, Triathletes, and Open-Water Racers Who Want to Build Strength, Efficiency, and Speed, Without Spending Extra Hours in the Pool
How to train smarter, and finally break through your plateau
Inside this roadmap, you’ll follow a clear, progressive structure designed to improve the way your body actually moves, so that every ounce of effort starts translating directly into real, sustainable speed.
You’ll train 3x per week with full-body strength sessions that target the exact patterns swimmers need to hold form under fatigue.
You’ll also get 2 recovery-focused mobility and conditioning sessions that enhance posture, breathing, and control.
This is movement science applied to the water.
You’ll stop grinding through sets that don’t help…
And start training with purpose—every rep, every session, every week.

How to stop guessing and start training with real direction
You’re never training alone.
Get feedback, accountability, and real-time support from Dan Daly and his team through the TrainHeroic app.
Each movement is selected to reinforce the mechanics of powerful swimming: rotational core strength, shoulder integrity, hip connection, and breath control under effort.
You’ll know what you’re training, why it matters, and how it directly improves your stroke when the pressure rises.
So you know exactly how to train—and avoid injury or second-guessing
You won’t be left guessing whether your form is right, or if you’re “doing it wrong.”
Every single exercise comes with a high-quality demo video, personally coached by Dan and his team.
You’ll see exactly how each movement should look, and more importantly, how it should feel.
You’ll train with confidence, clarity, and precision, without ever second-guessing your mechanics or risking injury.
How to stay consistent and actually follow through
Did you know the #1 reason most people fail is that they stop doing what they’re supposed to do?
Essentially, they give up.
That’s why this program includes real coaches who follow you through every phase.
You’ll have support when things feel confusing.
Feedback when you’re unsure.
And accountability when motivation drops.
This makes consistency automatic.
And consistency is what actually creates results.
How to remove friction and make training simple

Whether you’re in your garage, at the gym, or on the road, you’ll always know exactly what to do and how to do it.
Just open the app, hit your session, and get after it.

Resilience Amid Rough Waters, 3 km Open Water at Singapore Masters Championships
In what may have been her toughest swim yet, Tayunaz Merchant from India tackled the 3 km at the World Masters Aquatics Championships in Singapore under extremely challenging conditions. The race nearly didn’t happen—canceled twice due to poor water quality and only confirmed to go ahead on the morning of the event.
Despite the adversity, she finished 20th in her age group, placing 19th in her specific category—a solid result given the circumstances.
